About our Session Partner ORSI Academy

This session highlights HRTech. The increased focus on employees as multidimensional people, millennials on the rise, human-software-machine work experiences, ... Different solutions to help employees and HR managers are popping up. Together with our Session partner Recrewtment we invite 8 startups active in the industry to pitch their solutions live on stage and receive valuable business feedback from an expert panel of investors, corporates innovators and though leaders.
Challenges
The pitching startups will have to tackle the following challenges curated by Recrewtment.
During the HRTech session Recrewtment wants to broaden his horizon on HR technology and how they can be implemented in their organization without losing their personal approach. How can AI and other technologies be used to during the recruitment process, help with better matching between vacancies and job seekers and assist in the learning and development of their employees.

Andreas Pfeffer
Andreas Pfeffer is the founder of Recrewtment, one of the fastest growing HR companiesin Belgium. He has been active in recruitment for over 20 years and has held different positions from recruiter to several C level roles throughout his career. He is a strong believer in the possibilities of HR Tech in combination with a personal approach.
Eva De Vries
Twenty years of work experience within HR and Technology companies such as Randstad, SD Worx and Oracle and now Director within the HR Technology department within PwC. This allows Eva to bring extensive HR solutions and project experience to companies. Skilled in HR technology, payroll, people management, sales/business development, partner alliance management, networker, professional graduated from KU LEUVEN, VUB and HUB-EHSAL.
Koen De Waele
Koen has 20+ years of experience as software investor, entrepreneur and strategic advisor. Following initial steps in VC (1996-2002), he spent 15+ years as CFO/Strategy Director @Alpega (2002-2018), alogistics SaaS & marketplace business. Today, Koen is Venture Partner @Volta Ventures, early stage VC fund. He is also mentor @Birdhouse, ad hoc angel investor and board advisor to supply chain software scale-ups.
Ruben Schoenmaekers
Ruben has extensive experience working as a transactional lawyer with technology and HR companies. Following a career within EY advising and working mainly for multinational & financial companies, Ruben converted his focus more to start-up and scale ups. Currently,Ruben assists mainly founders of young companies and guides them through the wonderful world of staged funding and M&A.

Ed+learningTech changed drastically when the pandemic forced students worldwide to leave the comfort of their classrooms and adapt the familiar way of learning. But every crisis brings opportunities. ORSI Academy is looking for new technologies on how they will all learn, teach, work and share knowledge with their pears.

Geert Vandenbroucke
Chairman at
Dr. Geert Vandenbroucke is co-founder and Chairman of Orsi Academy. Since 1992, he is an anesthesiologist in the OLV hospital in Aalst, where he has taken on several managerial positions amongst which Medical Director (2004-2013). Currently, he leads the Anesthesiology, Emergency & ICU Department.
Harry Haeck
Harry is an Investment Manager at SmartFin, a European venture capital fund focusing on B2B technology companies. Before joining SmartFin, Harry worked for several years in the Private Equity team of BNP Paribas Fortis. He has a background in law and finance, and a strong affinity with all things marketing.
Jonas Pollet
Jonas is a power house in innovation of HR technologies. Having obtained a post graduate in HR expert class magna cum lauda, and having won the HR tech award of 2020 and the ICT project of the Year 2021. Jonas focuses on what the future is for professionals. A future beyond the classic employee model where professionals embrace a new paradigm and reinvents the professional landscape and modus operandi.
Mathias Vermeulen
Mathias Vermeulen, the owner of Winston Wolfe Innovative HR Solutions and co-founder of Dutch & Dillon, has a 15-year track record in L&D and HR management. His playing ground is on the intersection of learning and tech. Mathias recently wrote a book about L&D and is a passionate yet critical voice in the field of Learning Technologies.
